Recent Updates From Abby Levin
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I view the therapeutic relationship as collaborative, and I strive to create a secure space for you to deepen your self-awareness, cultivate sustainable coping strategies, and clarify your values. I often work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, disordered eating habits, body image distress, or life transitions. Many clients enter therapy with a desire to feel more connected to themselves. In our work, we will identify the ways in which you may be engaging in avoidance or other unhelpful patterns. In our process, you will reconnect with what you need to experience a more vibrant and fulfilling life.
I utilize behavioral therapy approaches of ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). In our work, we will continually explore your internal experience patterns. I often use engaging metaphors, mindfulness exercises, and other therapeutic activities to guide our sessions.
Choosing a therapist is an important decision. I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile! I would love to connect further and learn about you, and what you hope to work on in therapy right now. I offer free 15 minute inquiry phone calls so we can see if we may be the right fit for one another. I look forward to connecting with you!
