Recent Updates From Alicia Hawker
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024

The therapeutic relationship has the potential to provide healing and support while offering a hopeful perspective to navigate difficulties and hurtful circumstances. I want to be invited into my clients' lives--to be given the privilege to experience their dreams and fears, joys and sorrows, triumphs and disappointments. I strive to provide a welcoming space for people to explore and make meaning of their relationships and experiences. Clients are given the freedom and safety to change themselves and their outlooks. I am trained in EMDR and feel comfortable working with clients with histories of abuse through a trauma lens.
My professional experiences surround women's issues and relational difficulties. I have interest and training in assisting clients and their partners explore the whole self: sexual health, physical and emotional intimacy, and overall well being. I use a team approach to mental wellness, especially in supporting clients who struggle with eating disorders.
My personal journey has led me to have a unique perspective in supporting clients, especially through the difficult transitions of faith difficulties/faith loss, divorce, co-parenting, and step-families. I have a compassionate ability to support survivors in rewriting their narratives and exploring healing techniques.
