Recent Updates From Anna Taylor
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, an Associate Partner Trauma Therapist, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I am also trained as a child-centered play therapist. I work with children who struggle with anxiety, difficulty in family or school situations, depression, behavioral concerns, trauma, or grief and loss. With adults, I have extensive background in betrayal, anxiety, trauma, and depression. My priority is to help you find a sense of safety within yourself & relationships. I also specialize in couples therapy working on communication skills, trust, infidelity, and conflict.
I believe children can meet their goals and heal. The therapeutic relationship can help children develop autonomy, positive self-concept, self-acceptance, and improved coping. I view child counseling as a collaborative approach that includes both the child and his or her family, so I frequently work with parents in the process.
I have Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy certification, a highly evidence-based modality to improving relationships, that is my foundation in couples work. I see infidelity as trauma in relationships, and use my certified partner trauma training to help you find emotional safety and self-compassion.
