Seeking therapeutic counseling can be challenging for any number of reasons, from being ready to take the first step on your mental health journey to finding a therapist that's right for you. Wherever you are in your journey, I aim to provide a comforting, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and comfortable being yourself. Therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert in your own life and your goals are the focus. There are numerous techniques that exist and I will work with you to find what best suits your needs. No matter who you are or what you need, I will work hard to deliver the best care for you.
My areas of focus are ADHD, autism, anxiety, sexual/gender identity, attachment and relationships, adolescents, and young adults. My experience includes individuals of all ages, autistic individuals, LGBTQIA+, and those with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, trauma, substance use disorders, chronic illness/pain, and transitions.
My background informs what lenses I apply and the evidenced-based practices I use. A trauma-focused lens, cultural humility, and gender affirming care are central to my practice which is further informed by attachment, developmental, and person-in-environment theories. Some of the evidence-based practices I draw from include: narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT
