Recent Updates From Edward Scott
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I provide evaluation, assessment, and counseling for individuals, couples, and groups addressing concerns with relationships and marriage, mood disorders (depression/mania), anxiety disorders, personality disorders, stress, trauma, communication, and personal growth. My specialized training and experience has also prepared me to work with artist's issues as well as philosophical/ethical concerns. Where appropriate, I collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and other providers to ensure the highest quality of care. I attempt to develop an empathic, understanding environment, characterized by equality and co-operation that may then facilitate the resolution of your concerns with my assistance. Please contact with any questions.
I employ an integrated holistic approach that takes into account your psychological, biological, social, and cultural dimensions. Using your innate strengths, our work together can help you seek out balanced approaches to life's challenges. My expertise consists of both depth (existential/psychodynamic) approaches along with cognitive behavioral techniques.
My office is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and UNC with easy access to parking, major highways, and public transportation. I also serve as an executive coach with UNC Kenan Flagler Business School and as an adjunct professor of counseling at North Carolina State University.
