Recent Updates From Gillian Sleeman
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
The impact of anxiety on our ability to function and maintain quality of life can be profound. Fear and worry can lead to significant avoidance, which can take more and more of our time and ability to engage in the things that should bring us joy. The good news is, these disorders are treatable. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure & Response Prevention are considered the most effective treatments for OCD and other anxiety disorders. I specialize in the treatment of these disorders using CBT & ERP and am committed to helping those with anxiety work to build the tools and understanding necessary to overcome these disorders.
I have specialized in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and, more specifically, Exposure & Response Prevention for the last 3 years, including completing certification through the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute. I have seen many clients struggling with the impacts of anxiety and have had the privilege of working alongside them as they recover
I can imagine that if you are at this point in the process, you can relate to the idea of anxiety as a monster claiming too much of your life. I would love the opportunity to learn more about your specific needs and to share more about the power of treatment. I offer a 15 minute consult in order to establish therapeutic fit. I look forward to chatting!
