Recent Updates From Jamila Kani
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

Is your past preventing you from experiencing a joyful and fulfilling life? I am a holistic therapist who provides support, tools, and knowledge for the healing and reclamation of your whole self- mind, body, and spirit- to free you from the burdens of your past so that you can thrive in your present and future. While I serve many communities as a mental health care provider, my work centers the unique mental health experiences of Black women. I specialize in working with individuals who feel held back and weighed down by trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, and low self-esteem.
Traditional therapy takes a mind-first approach, but the path to healing isn't always so straightforward. You are more than your mind, and adverse life experiences can impact all parts of you. I utilize mindfulness AND embodiment-based modalities, such as EMDR and somatic therapy, to bridge mind and body and invite your whole self into the healing process.
As your therapist, I will provide a safe space for you to undertake the challenging yet deeply rewarding work of healing and transformation. It would be an honor and privilege to support you on your journey towards wholeness, fulfilment, and self-actualization.
