Recent Updates From Kimberlie Johnson
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
As a trauma informed therapist, it's important to help individuals find safety in their environment and surroundings. In session, we start by developing skills to manage emotional triggers before working through personal stressors/traumas. After coping skills are established, we will start working on the stressors/traumas through a variety of modalities. Because therapy is not one size fits all, I take an eclectic approach to therapy, providing a wide range of tools and resources to help each client work through their personal struggles.
My main specialties are centered around Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). All of these modalities are scientifically based ways to help clients improve their quality of living. I offer services both in person and virtually depending on the needs of the client.
My goal is to empower clients and help them honor their healing journey in a judgement free environment. I recognize that everyone's healing journey is different, so if you'd like to see if we would be a good fit, please reach out and we can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation call.
