It’s 7am. You have only slept three hours, thoughts bouncing in your mind and a feeling of dread in your stomach. Or maybe your legs feel like cement, as though you’re walking through mud each day in a fog. Or maybe you simply feel spread thin, drained, too much happening all at once and the wave of it is making it hard to swim. My mission is to create a collaborative and healing space for you, one that allows you to learn skills that support your therapeutic goals - and helps you ride the waves that life throws your way.
My specialties include: recovery from substance use, healing from grief & bereavement, anxiety and depression management, assisting in life transitions and stress management, as well as helping clients gain skills and insight to manage trauma responses. In addition, I am trained in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma treatment.
Therapy is hard. It's not just showing up; it's allowing yourself to feel, process and heal the wounds from the past or present. Whether your goals are to surf life's waves, to learn to respond vs. react, to quiet your body / mind or to better navigate other challenging moments, I'm ready to walk with you to achieve those goals.
