Recent Updates From Paula Koelbl
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
My areas of interest include individual, couples, and family therapy dealing with challenges such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, personal development, relationships, communication, conflict resolution, and parenting. I offer Christian counseling and recognize the importance of spirituality in the health and wellness of my clients. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and have completed the Caring for People God's Way program. If desired, I can approach clients' concerns by integrating research-based therapy with a faith-based, biblical perspective.
My approaches to therapy include Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Gottman Method, and Integrative Family Therapy (IFT). I am also very interested in neurobiology; how our experiences with others can affect the wiring in our brain, and how these neuropathways can be rewired through psychotherapy.
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and consider the client's physical health as a part of their wellness. I am a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I like to use my knowledge of biology, nutrition, physiology, and exercise psychology to support the overall wellness of my clients.
