Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Sydney graduated from Wayne State University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a special focus in Art Therapy. Sydney is a fully licensed counselor. Sydney specializes in working with grief and loss issues, anxiety, alternative relationships, and she is an LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and sees individuals, couples, and families. If you want to explore the power of art making in therapy or want to focus on talk therapy, Sydney is an attentive listener who also has some creative solutions.
I believe in treating the whole person by considering their race, gender identity, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, spiritual beliefs, physical health and sexual orientation. I utilize a combination of approaches including Art Therapy, CBT, Feminist theory and Mindfulness based strategies. I also provide Supervision for LLPC.
Humans need the space to be authentic to themselves where they don't have to censor themselves. A place to truly explore their own needs without societal pressure. I am a good listener and would like to hold the space for you as you develop a deeper understanding of your true voice.
