I treat a variety of mental health conditions, and additionally offer support and guidance around a vast array of life issues. I am passionate about finding and tailoring what works for YOUR needs. I specialize in anxiety, trauma (including complicated grief), interpersonal issues, and mood disorders. Again, focusing in and utilizing the tools that serve you best.
I am a recent member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, and also a member of NASW since 1989. I graduated with my BA in Social Work from Clarke College, and earned my Masters in Social work from the University of Iowa. I have been licensed to practice clinical social work since 1997.
I have worked in varied settings including a government organization, not for profit agencies, and residential treatment for youth. I transitioned into private practice in 1998. I have worked collaboratively with teams of professionals through the legal system, schools, other area agencies and medical systems.
