Life is complicated. Despite our best efforts, there are days where we all feel unhappy, anxious, and inadequate. Some of our struggles are results of our choices, but many of the hardships we face exist as a result of the way our loved ones and life circumstances treat us. Hardship can come in many forms - depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, and unhappy relationships. Sadly, life rarely pauses when we are struggling, and we are expected to keep functioning as professionals, parents, partners, and friends. This pressure can sometimes feel suffocating and can make an already difficult situation worse.
While I cannot change how the world treats you, I can help you develop the skills, strength, and resilience needed to overcome hardships and strengthen your relationships with the people most important to you. Deep down inside, we all know the person we want to be - the right therapist can work with you to help you become that person.
I utilize strengths-based and client-centered approaches in the counseling space, but I always tailor my approach to the person or couple in front of me. Each of us has life experiences that make us unique, and I will work alongside you to ensure that ours is a successful and effective partnership. I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together.
