Recent Updates From Alison Armbruster
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I also have a Master of Fine Arts Degree from New York University. I have many years of experience working with children, teens and adults within the world of the performing arts which has greatly inspired my approach to helping clients understand and overcome life’s challenges. I have worked in higher education, public elementary schools, and for private companies. Through a trauma-informed lens, I work to collaborate with each client on therapeutic goals using a strengths-perspective and person-centered approach.
I utilize a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, (ie, breathing methods, sensory work, and relaxation exercises) and Play Therapy tailored to each individual client.
I believe that together we will address the stressors that may manifest in depression, anxiety, and interpersonal conflict, focusing on self-compassion and motivation, empathy, and positive coping strategies.
