Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
My name is Alissa Zucker MA, LAC and I have been working in Substance Use disorder services for the last 10 years. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State College in 2008 and a Master's Degree in Applied Psychology from Regis University in 2015. Alissa is a Licensed Addiction Counselor in the State of Colorado and has passed both the NCAC II and MAC exams to be Nationally recognized as proficient in Addiction Counseling and Mental Health.
My work has been in all areas of the field and endorses a client-centered, strengths-based model of therapy. I am familiar with multiple modalities of treatment including prior work with adolescents, inpatient facility work, intensive outpatient groups, individual counseling, couples with substance use and codependency and partial hospitalization model.
I have specialized in advocacy and intensive work within a Harm Reduction model. I have also vigorously attacked the opioid epidemic to affect policy change and reduce stigma. I also have been working with the Gender Identity Center to provide therapy services in the LGBTQ community for the past year.
