Recent Updates From Amy Valoski
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
As a natural helper and empath, I believe taking the time to build an authentic and trusting therapeutic relationship is essential to successful therapy. I have over 18 years of counseling experience working with preteens, teens, and adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses. I enjoy working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, life transitions, and underlying trauma. My strength is relationship building and creating a safe, supportive, and relaxed environment for individuals to learn more about themselves and improve their lives.
I work from a humanistic mindset seeing people through a trauma lens and believe each person has a unique experience. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR (in training), solution focused, and strength based therapy. I also incorporate Christian faith based counseling at the client's request.
Life can be difficult at times and I'd love to be a support on your journey. If you're looking for a laid back therapist who often uses humor, loves corny jokes, and genuinely gets excited to help others, I can't wait to meet you!
