The Samaritan Center at The Jersey Shore is a non-profit professional counseling practice that provides individuals, couples and families an opportunity to address concerns that may be interfering with emotional health and happiness. Our clients seek counseling to prevent and intervene in personal, relationship and emotional issues, that affect the quality of their lives. We educate parents that are feeling overwhelmed and powerless watching their children and adolescents navigate peer pressure, bullying, and academic competition.
We came into being as the result of a collaborative effort between community leaders, church leaders and hospital administrators in response to a teen suicide epidemic that struck this community in 2008. The Center has since developed into a full time practice, offering evening and weekend appointments.
