Recent Updates From Carol L
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Currently, I work with clients who desire to be full participants in their own health and healing process. My clients are "seekers" by nature -- often on a spiritual quest. Many of my clients have already had years of previous therapy. They do not come to me to work on a "problem." They come to understand their role in the problem, to resolve it, and to learn from it. My "typical" client is someone who wants to transform suffering into meaning and bring purpose to it. Many of my clients are interested in using narrative or storytelling to tell or "rewrite" the stories of their lives.
I work from an integrative psychology perspective. I assist in the integration of mind, body, emotion, and spirit. I believe in collaboration with other healthcare providers so that each client is treated as a whole being. I encourage people to find their authenticity and to live it.
I would like you to know that suffering is something that we all feel at times in our lives. It can present in diverse ways. It is not a label; it is a universal emotion that does not only apply to mental illness. It is a consequence of the lived-experience. It is important to reach out when you need help. Reaching out is often a courageous act.
