Recent Updates From Carol McLaughlin
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024

Life and relationships can be difficult and messy. At times, help is necessary to find clarity and direction as we move toward the healthiest version of ourselves. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard as we work together to address the issues which brought you into counseling. Building on professional and personal life experiences, I engage in counseling collaboratively with acceptance for who and where you are while building a therapeutic relationship which becomes a catalyst for change. I utilize an eclectic theoretical approach which best meets the needs of each individual.
I enjoy working with adults, of all ages, through relationship and life transition issues – such as young adults entering a confusing world; and those challenged by ever-changing roles and phases of life. I believe in an individual’s ability to explore, grow, and use their unique story as a platform to determine goals and future journey.
Divorce is a special interest. I strive to support individuals in maintaining their mental/emotional wellness and personal integrity during and after a process that is often filled with hurt and loss. The goal may be reaching a respectful completion of a relationship, creating a new definition of “family”, or something in between.
