I currently specialize in helping children and families address and resolve the various issues which interfere with a satisfying personal and family life. I welcome adults who are struggling with the challenges of parenting and have developed innovative and effective methods to assist in the ongoing self development of the parent. My practice includes an explicit commitment to under served populations especially BIPOC youth and families. Sliding scale fees are available and extensive specialized trainings in anti-racism, diversity, equity and cultural sensitivity reflect my commitment to conscious, competent and welcoming services.
My specialty has become assisting adults in their efforts to become competent and conscious parents. My approach is tailored to the specific needs, culture and contexts of those parents who come to me for support, guidance and therapy. I have developed the Self-as-Parent:Pathways Model towards this end. BIPOC youth and families welcomed and respected.
Distinctive to my work with parents is the availability of a group based approach to the self development of the parent which is affordable and "outlives' the need for a therapist. Parents are welcomed into a comprehensive approach which is tailored to their specific needs.They become the center of their own personal work.
