I work primarily with children and adolescents who are experiencing stressors in their lives including parental divorce, depression, anxiety, school issues, and peer relationship issues.
I approach each client differently depending on their needs and interests. I primarily work from a non-directive approach, which means the kiddo runs the show. I believe children innately know what they need to heal and I follow their lead. When needed, I do provide more directive approaches.
Clients can expect to feel listened to and understood in a world that often dismisses or belittles their experiences as a child or adolescent. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and work hard to allow my clients to feel comfortable and welcome.
