Recent Updates From Edith A
Last updated | Monday March 24, 2025

I have over 35 years of experience helping children, adults, couples and families to resolve conflicts, heal from trauma or losses, and create more loving relationships. I enjoy working with children and adolescents. My work with children is enriched by my also being a parenting consultant; I teach parents how to approach problems, intervene effectively, and foster cooperation. I am skilled at assisting people of all ages to recover from abuse, trauma, loss, anxiety and depression and acquire new coping skills and stress management. I design a treatment that fits the goals, needs and strengths of each individual, couple or family.
I was the Clinical Director of a Healthy Start project in two elementary schools, have taught Parenting and trained clinicians for 12 years. I teach families and couples effective communication skills, practical problem solving strategies, and how to draw upon their own strengths to create growth out of challenges such as divorce, illness, and grief.
I have an unusual amount of experience in treating children with behavioral or emotional problems. I work closely with their parents to offer specific guidance. I help couples clarify issues and co-parent successfully after separation or divorce. I teach clients to reduce stress, manage anxiety and move past depression. I am flexible, warm and caring.
