Experiencing difficulty coping with a major life transition? Want help getting back to normal? Life changing events can be difficult to process emotionally. Being connected to the present moment in a relaxed body can help us better understand and appreciate our true selves. Too often we are stuck in the mistakes/misfortunes of our past or the uncertainties of our future. Change is difficult and at times uncomfortable, yet it is necessary in order to grow and thrive. Being able to be in the moment and address difficult situations as they are and without judgment is vital to making change easier to manage.
In a judgment-free environment, I collaborate with clients to help identify what they are feeling and to gain a better understanding of their emotional responses to life transitions. I can also help clients learn how to notice negative thought cycles, develop new coping skills, and practice relaxation techniques.
I believe in the idea that "it takes a village" and am also dedicated to providing support to new, experienced, and expecting parents. Getting relief from emotional pain helps to improve relationships and can open the door for more gratifying family bonding experiences.
