~Accepting referrals for telemedicine~ Coming into therapy can seem scary, and for some, it may even be unclear how therapy can be useful or why you should begin this journey. I create a comfortable environment that is accepting of all people, regardless of the place you are in or the hesitancy you may be feeling about beginning the process of therapy. I work with clients by developing a relationship through genuine and caring interactions, by meeting you in the present moment, and helping identify your strengths. This can help people work through making difficult decisions, supporting life transitions, or managing mental illness.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a significant increase in substance abuse & mental health issues. The pandemic is occurring as we were already dealing with the epidemic of opioid/heroin/fentanyl abuse. I am expanding my work beyond CT and am now licensed on an emergency basis in NH for both psychology and substance use/addictive disorders.
MEDICAL MARIJUANA: Informed about the use of medical marijuana to supplement mental health treatment and am able to provide referrals to licensing medical doctors. SUPERVISION: For students and/or graduates looking to fulfill licensure requirements or practicum experience in a supportive, encouraging, yet challenging environment.
