Profile

I believe therapy is part of a journey to embrace our authentic selves, no matter our back story. Problems that we struggle with do not form our whole identity and are usually adaptations that were originally protective strategies. My intention is to assist you with connecting to your ability to heal. During these challenging times, telehealth can help you get the help you need, quickly and efficiently. My approach combines many different modalities that help clients heal from anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as problems caused by addiction.
I am completing my final training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) in February, 2023. With SE, I am trained to work with all types of trauma by integrating the nervous system into the healing process. I work to promote healing from traumatic life situations. My emphasis is on healing from, as opposed to coping with, symptoms arising from mental health problems.
Being a psychotherapist is a joy to me. If you decide to work with me, my aim is to honor your process and to be present with the concerns you bring to our sessions. In my 'other' life, I am an avid mountain bike rider. My husband and I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. I love the outdoors, family, animals, music, and the arts.
