"Superman's not brave. You can't be brave if your indestructible, its everyday people like you and me that are brave knowing we could easily be defeated but still continue to move forward"-unknown. It is a huge gift to be able to witness someone who had little hope become that person they always dreamed of! To give just one person the gift of hope; that is priceless. I have found that most people "in recovery", they are strong amazing people! You've overcome so much already, use those assets for your recovery instead of active addiction.

I have worked in the addiction field 13 years now. I came into the field with 15+/- years of personal experience, living thru my own active addiction. I had to do my own "research" before entering into the profession. Recovery has become my passion. I love hearing stories of bravery and courage all that brought you to today.
I studied "replacement" therapies throughout my schooling and I still have a great interest in "mediation assisted recovery". I have witnessed people who find success with medications can feel shunned, even shamed; made to feel they are not "in recovery". I am a believer that if your life is getting better then who is to say if you are "in recovery" or not?
