Recent Updates From John Fiene
Last updated | Monday March 24, 2025

Does something feel unmanageable, terribly wrong, or missing? Depression, loneliness, anger or anxiety may be a reflection of a deeper psychological and spiritual emptiness pervasive in our society. Our individual and collective creative life force has been harmed by educational, religious, legal and economic systems. Psychotherapy is about working through this influence and hurt to understand your deep aspirations and unique psychology. It's a safe space to reclaim soulfulness and authentic self-direction. As a trustworthy, experienced, and resourceful person, I offer all my best with humor and warmth.
My humanistic approach draws upon existential thought, depth psychology (Freud, Jung, and others), and social theory. My broad experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in schools, hospitals, and criminal justice diversion programs has taught me the resilience of the human spirit and acute understanding of factors that suppress it.
My clients tend to be students, artists, medical or legal professionals. Frequently, if there is the need and space, their families or partners will also attend to engage in a joint healing process. I work with people across the lifespan and offer a listening ear and empathic feedback to those who desire to experience the transformational power of therapy.
