Recent Updates From Julie Coffey
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I believe people are experts in their own lives and so I meet them where they are, in the moment. That is why I offer a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment in which to safely explore life challenges, heal, and grow. I draw from multiple treatment approaches including but not limited to Relational and Person-centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and always through a Trauma focused lens.
I bring seven years experience in counseling and over twenty years as advocate for children, teens, adults, and families exposed to and/or struggling with societal inequities, mental illness, substance abuse, and/or domestic and sexual violence.
I have worked extensively in the fields of domestic and sexual violence and offer an insight and understanding of the unique challenges faced by survivors in any stage of their healing.
