I provide exclusively online counseling and work with individuals aged 6 and up, as well as couples. I work with clients seeking support with trauma, chronic illness, disabilities, grief/loss, assertiveness/boundaries, self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, communication, relationship issues, and ADD/ADHD. While I believe treatment should be individualized to each client, I tailor my counseling approach from a foundation of person-centered therapy and use a strengths-based focus. I also incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when needed. I do not pathologize my clients but acknowledge the difficulties and challenges they have faced and what role those experiences play in a client's presenting symptoms. Our emotions act as a way of letting us know something inside of us needs our attention.

What some may identify as an "abnormal" reaction is often actually a normal reaction to an abnormal experience where a client was trying to survive. I focus on a client's internal strengths and resourcefulness rather than on perceived weaknesses, failures, or shortcomings. If unhelpful ways of thinking are identified, and clients would like to change those thinking patterns, I am here to assist them in challenging those. This includes trying to understand the motivation behind a client's behaviors and developing a greater sense of confidence in their own abilities to create change. I believe my clients are the experts on themselves and my role is to provide a nonjudgmental and empathetic environment for clients to work through their struggles and reach their full potential. My passion is to help people who feel unheard, unseen, or left behind discover their voice, worth, and strengths; empowering them to continue forward in their own unique ways. Creating a therapeutic relationship that is safe, trustworthy, respectful, and collaborative is a solid foundation for successful therapy.
