Although I help people working through a wide range of issues and symptoms, I specialize in helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship problems and life transitions. I love helping clients detach from the unnecessary barriers placed by oppressive social structures, society, family, or themselves so they can start living the life they've always wanted. It's important to me that my clients feel heard, validated, challenged, and that our therapeutic relationship is collaborative. I value providing for my clients an experience that feels tailored to their needs.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and person-centered. I utilize techniques from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and promote mindfulness practice. I love ACT's focus on the present moment and approach on accepting the presence of unhelpful thoughts without letting them define us or control our behavior.
I do my best to present as my authentic self in sessions and will utilize humor, swearing, and pop culture references as a regular part of our work together, paired of course with empathy, knowledge, and 10+ years of experience.
