Recent Updates From Kayla Brown
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Hi! My name is Kayla. I received my Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University. I have worked with adults and adolescents in the school, hospital and child welfare setting. My approach to therapy is based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic therapy, which allows us to freely speak our feelings while also helping us improve who we are and our life struggles.
I am passionate about helping others overcome their childhood trauma, heal from any past or present pain they are experiencing, and prepare for the future. I chose therapy because I have a passion for helping others become the best version of themselves and for helping clients to understand that their past doesn't define their present or future.
Maya Angelou said that, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
