Recent Updates From Katherine Malavenda
Last updated | Tuesday March 25, 2025

Whether you are dealing with feelings of stress, anger, sadness, anxiety or relationship struggles, you should not have to do it alone. Seeking objective and unbiased guidance is one of the healthiest ways to cope. I will provide a safe and "judgment-free" environment to explore your feelings and gain insight into your situation. Together we will make a unique plan to help you live a more meaningful life. With over 10 years of experience in psychology, I provide expertise in children/parenting, couples counseling, depression/anxiety, and PTSD. My expertise includes ACT therapy, Gottman and EFCT couples therapy, and EMDR.
While I have a great deal of experience with all types of families, as a veteran and military spouse myself, I understand the unique concerns that are related to military life. I can relate to the relationship and familial complexities that arise from moving frequently, lengthy/excessive deployments, constant school transitions, and the "military culture".
In my practice, I take the time to listen to you and we will develop a plan together. I believe in a "down to earth" approach and consider you to be the expert on your life. I will work with you to help you regain a feeling of confidence and peace by offering guidance, knowledge, information, and resources to help you live a life that is meaningful to you.
