Recent Updates From Lee Nadeau
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Emotional wounding, loss, trauma, and unhealthy relationships often create a sense of overwhelm, heaviness and prolonged anxiety that can feel never-ending. Over time, it's common to become increasingly detached, stagnant and feel like it's impossible to connect with others in an authentic and meaningful way. Psychotherapy provides the unique opportunity to 'get real' with 'what is', allowing you to grow and heal in ways that will benefit all of your relationships, including (most importantly) the relationship that you have with yourself.
My hope is that we can create a collaborative working relationship that provides a safe space for you to explore whatever you want. I regularly work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse disorders, grief/loss, adoption/attachment issues and learning disabilities who want to develop more awareness and healthy coping skills.
My style is primarily somatic and relational, but I draw from multiple theoretical counseling psychology frameworks, including evidence based modalities (CBT & DBT) to 'meet you where you're at' in your healing journey. I recognize that it takes courage to reach out for support and I commend you for even considering engaging in the process.
