Life can be challenging. For adults those challenges can include parenting, relationships, job stress, overwhelming emotions, life transitions, and many more. Challenges for children and teens can include school-related issues like academic stress, bullying, peer pressure, general "drama", and others. Ultimately, we are all searching for safety, satisfaction and fulfillment in our lives. Often, however, we are unsure how to deal with the challenges that prevent us from finding what we're searching for. It can be hard to know where to turn for help and hard to ask for that help.
I have worked as a therapist in western North Carolina since 2001 and enjoy working with all ages, especially children and parents. For those seeking improved relationships, increased confidence in parenting skills, coping and emotion management skills, and help navigating the busy, complicated world we live in, I have experience in these areas and more.
For me, counseling is more than a job - it's a calling. If you're looking for caring, compassion, listening without judgment, authenticity and integrity, you've come to the right place. I am ready to join you as you seek a more fulfilling, satisfying life. Pause. Breathe. Now you're ready. Let's do this together.
