Recent Updates From Michelle Chao
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. At this time, I am only offering teletherapy. I'm Michelle, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. I specialize in working with children (9+), teens & young adults struggling ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, school and/or behavioral difficulties and self-esteem issues. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the primary treatment modality that I use as well as mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. My goal is to support my clients with gaining skills to live their best lives.
In working with children, teenagers & young adults, I start where they are and build rapport by allowing them to direct the course of our sessions with some guidance on topics. Where applicable, correspondence with their parents/guardians is often a key component to ensure our work gets practiced at home and we are all working toward a common goal.
We are living in very uncertain times. Give yourself grace and grant yourself permission to take care of YOU. I would be honored to walk along side you and support you and/or your child on your journey.
