Recent Updates From Naomi Sechrist
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

Seeking out therapy when feeling overwhelmed or “stuck” is an act of courage. As a therapist, I am committed to providing a safe space for my clients to talk through their roadblocks, life transitions, and to process adverse experiences. It’s also a place for clients to challenge deeply-held beliefs that may no longer help them in their present lives. I use a strengths-based approach and strive to provide a non-judgmental and validating environment. I trust that my clients are experts of their own lives and my role is coach and collaborator.
My areas of expertise include anxiety disorders (OCD, phobias, panic), depression, trauma, feelings of shame, and chronic pain. I am trained in EMDR which I can implement over video sessions. I am also trained in CBT and ERP, which has been shown to be effective in treating anxiety. I teach mindfulness techniques, an important building-block to recovery.
Reaching out for help, especially when experiencing symptoms that disrupt your functioning, takes enormous strength. My goal is to honor that strength by holding space for you and your experiences. If you are interested in becoming a client, contact me for a free 30-minute consultation to see if this is the right fit for you.
