Recent Updates From Nicole Petzolt
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I enjoy working with individuals throughout the lifespan, from ages 5 to 105. My experience as a school psychologist has given me an understanding of the challenges of both being and parenting a child with special needs, as well as navigating life as an adult with a disability or chronic health condition. I also have experience in working with clients suffering from depression, grief/loss, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, and phobias. I have a special interest in working with clients who are neurodivergent and those who identify as LGBTQIA.
I am primarily trained in cognitive behavioral therapy but also have training in psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. My approach to therapy is tailored to each individual client and your needs and goals, but is always trauma-informed. I also abide by HAES principles and support all of my clients in body positivity.
I believe in a person's ability to grow and change, and I see my role as a therapist as a person to help guide you through any challenges you are facing. Together we can address any unhelpful or problematic thoughts, patterns, or behaviors you might be stuck in and work on improving your overall quality of life despite any barriers in your way.
