Recent Updates From Sara Riggs
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

Your reasons for seeking therapy are valid; I will approach our work together without judgement and with compassion. I work to help my clients create safety and peace in their bodies and connect to their world. I believe in empowering clients through teaching coping skills rooted in mindfulness and somatics, encouraging mastery building and vulnerability, and helping them identify their parts and restore Self. I use the natural world as a therapy setting and tool to inform my work. Classic talk therapy might not have worked for you in the past; it’s not your fault. You might need a different environment and new path to embodiment.
I use an integrated approach to individualize therapy, utilizing practices in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Embodied Recovery, DBT, Mindfulness, IFS Ecotherapy and Walking Therapy. My specialties include eating disorder recovery, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, self-esteem/identity issues, negative relationships with food and body, and life transitions.
Telling your story can be hard. I believe taking time to build trust between client and therapist is an important part of the healing process. I will listen and respond to your unique needs and feedback about our work together. We can take a walk in the woods, sit in nature, meet at my office and connect from the safety and accessibility of your own home.
