Recent Updates From Shannon Li
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

Life is stressful and it’s important to have the space to deal with those experiences and process them in a healthy way. That’s where therapy comes in. Therapy is a space for you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your strengths as well as examining issues that are causing distress. It’s what you want and make it to be. You tell me what you want to do and I’ll follow your lead. You can vent about what’s been driving you insane, talk about the latest Trader Joe’s finds, or sit in silence to process your feelings. It’s where you are celebrated for being uniquely you.
I work from an existentialist framework mainly utilizing person-centered therapy and drawing from cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral techniques. My approach aims to create a safe, nonjudgemental, and open environment where clients feel heard and supported. As therapy is a collaborative effort, I place importance on the therapeutic relationship.
I am a culturally responsive mental health professional who uses humor, insight, empathy, and creativity to help clients build the lives they want and to achieve their goals. My goal is to help clients build their toolbox of coping strategies that they can actively use during times of stress so they can live their fullest and most authentic lives.
