Recent Updates From Leigh Kilgore
Last updated | Thursday March 27, 2025

Hi, I’m Leigh (pronounced Lee). I’m a clinical social worker based in Honolulu, HI and licensed in all 50 states. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. CBT helps clients recognize that it’s not necessarily the things that happen to us that cause us to struggle, but how we think about these things. When we learn that our first reactions to difficult subjects may be limiting, we can work to change and grow our perspectives. Subsequently, this allows us to feel differently and cope in more helpful ways.
As a therapist who loves to travel, I’ve lived in many places in the US (including the Southeast, DMV, Midwest, PNW, and now Hawaii) and have traveled extensively outside the US. I strive to understand cultures I’m not familiar with and have been honored to learn and hold space for clients from many different walks of life.
I enjoy working with clients to meet their goals. I view therapy as an active process, where my clients learn skills and tools that allow them to achieve their goals and flourish in their lives. My goal is for you to learn how to be your own therapist and successfully graduate from therapy with this knowledge and practice.
Specialties: Anxiety, Stress, Panic attacks, Fears, Worry, Phobias, Social anxiety, Obsessions & compulsions, Depression, Sleep issues, Women’s issues,LGBTQ+, Life transitions, Coping skills, Chronic pain
