Recent Updates From Whole Hearts
Last updated | Monday February 17, 2025

Do you ever feel like your young child doesn't listen to you, or they do the opposite of what you ask them to do? Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based therapy to promote attachment using positive attention strategies to guide behaviors, while helping caregivers to provide consistent and predictable consequences when necessary. I work with biological parents, foster and adoptive families, and other caregivers including extended family. We also provide individual therapy to address challenges in parenting, and Circle of Security parenting sessions.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is designed for families with children young children who may have challenging behaviors (including hyperactivity/short attention span, difficulty in public outings), who may have experienced trauma or recent changes in routine or family dynamics, and/or who may be experiencing trouble in their childcare settings.
In addition to PCIT, we use other modalities including TF-CBT, Theraplay, the ARC Model, and Circle of Security Parenting, using a trauma-informed approach for children 10 and under. Please give me a call for a free consultation to see if therapy can help both you and your child increase your feelings of joy and happiness within your relationship.
