Hello! I'm Abby. My counseling experience includes providing individual and group counseling for clients with depressive and/or anxious symptoms due to past trauma or current stressful situations and relationships. I enjoy working with individuals who seek ways to feel safe in their bodies and be empowered in their personal and professional relationships. My client focus includes adults and adolescents, LGTBQ+ identity related issues, mood disorders, substance use, developmental trauma, sexual trauma, polyamory, and kink relationships.
I use an evidenced-based practice called Emotion-Focused Therapy that is humanistic, strength-focused, person-centered and experiential. I see the client as the expert of their lives and my role is to be a compassionate guide to help them process their negative experiences to find more adaptive ways of connecting to others and find meaning in their story.
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have about us working together. I look forward to learning about how I can best support you on your personal journey toward growth. I currently see individuals and co-facilitate a Women's Trauma group.
