Recent Updates From Angela Razon
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
If you're considering therapy, you may have asked yourself questions like "Do I really need it? How can it help me?" While many of us turn to family and friends for emotional support during stressful times, moments do come when difficulties seem to mount and persist, and when talking to a trained, professional helper can bring about relief from suffering, as well as personal growth. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with 20 years of post graduate experience in private practice and community mental health settings. I treat adults presenting with anxiety, depression, ADHD and stress from challenging life transitions.
In my practice, I integrate various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based and trauma-informed interventions. Regardless of approaches used, I try to impart a way of listening that tunes in not only to what is being said, but also to what is not being said.
I have a special interest in working with immigrants or people coming from immigrant backgrounds who may wish to explore the impact of cultural and social displacement on their psychological well-being. I've also enjoyed working with clients grappling with the question of vocation and one's place in the world.
