Recent Updates From Baylor Brown
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Counseling is such meaningful and rewarding work and I am so grateful that I get to do it. My goal is to always be growing as a person right alongside you and to always approach my work with a sense of openness and curiosity rather than judgment. After all, we’re just two humans talking about being human. My hope is that you can learn to further embrace your humanness and leave behind your shame in the process. While talk therapy can be extremely valuable, I recognize that there are some problems that conventional talk therapy can’t quite reach, which is why I typically use a more experiential, trauma-focused approach to counseling.

I also specialize in working with dissociation, substance abuse, couples, and adolescents. I am trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems but pull from a variety of other approaches as well. You can find out more about my approach and specializations on my website. I also offer supervision for LCMHCs and LCAS-As.
Healing and growth can only happen in an environment where you feel safe. While I would hope this is true for any counselor you choose, I think it's important that I mention a few things: I am LGBQIA and trans affirming, sex positive, dedicated to anti-racism, and I believe survivors. Please feel free to reach out if you think I could be a good fit for you.
