Recent Updates From Ellen Zosel
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
My ideal client is coming to counseling to improve their quality of life. They may be dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, a more personal concern, or simply needing support in their day-to-day work, school, and relationship life. The client is motivated for change in their life and is willing to try new things. The client is open to working collaboratively with me to develop the most effective plan of action for them. The client understands that therapy is a process that may involve some roadblocks to be navigated, but that the therapeutic relationship will be one of safety and support.
I work primarily from an integrated psychodynamic lens, meaning I like to understand the client's relational patterns and attachment style, their coping strategies, their development, and as much of their story as they are comfortable sharing. I am then able to work with them to develop an effective intervention strategy.
I am Gottman Level One trained and this approach is used in my work with couples. I look forward to working collaboratively to make the changes you are seeking in your life!
