Recent Updates From Eloise Erasmus
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
I am a licensed psychologist at Aslan Institute, a holistic mental health clinic, and offer psychotherapy to adults (18+) and clinical supervision to LPCs, LPCCs and LPs. I am a certified clinical supervisor with the Minnesota BBHT. Promoting self-awareness, compassion and self-empowerment is central to my approach. I teach courses on Human Consciousness - to promote "waking up" and "growing up" for people at different stages of development. Areas of speciality: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, poor body image/eating struggles, history of abuse/neglect, complex trauma and adjustment disorders.
If you want to become aware of the ways you have internalized abusive/neglectful ways of relating with yourself and others (heal intergenerational trauma), have the courage to do the hard work of seeing the ways you hurt yourself and others, and are motivated to change and be loving, we are a good fit.
I am also sensitive to culture, race and gender issues, having lived in Europe, Africa and Asia. I taught Social Psychology of Gender, and Stereotypes, Prejudice & Discrimination at Eugene Lange College in New York and am passionate about promoting social justice from the inside out, through self-awareness and compassion, to heal internalized racism/sexism.
