Recent Updates From Eric D.
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
In addition to psychology, I have an educational/work background in engineering, including disaster management, and bring a balance of empathy and evidence-based approaches to help you resolve issues. With hands on training in community mental health, I am comfortable working with with a diverse client base, including all genders, nationalities, races, disabilities, and ages, with a wide range of emotional challenges and issues. I have experience working with trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have a personal passion for equality and I am a strong LGBTQ+ supporter.
I have an extensive toolkit and I like to work with individuals open to seeing what works. Rather than applying a "one size fits all" approach (e.g., CBT), I work with clients to determine a treatment approach that gets at the core of the problem and works best to get you on your feet as quickly as possible and feeling better.
I don't see clients as "mentally ill." We all bring our life experiences to therapy and our history plays a large role in who we are. I look to bring out the best in every client and love seeing people thrive. I enjoy learning each person's story and using their strengths to help them overcome obstacles that limit their well-being.
