Recent Updates From Esther Heffler
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
I like to say the counseling profession chose me because I have honestly always had a passion for building connections and having deep conversations about everything from love and joy to heartbreak and hardships. That same passion and undeniable love for San Antonio led me to pursue both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UTSA. My journey to becoming the Licensed Professional Counselor I am today has been one I am immensely grateful for.
My counseling approach is tailored to the individual, but generally speaking our collaborative work together would entail: processing your thoughts and feelings, exploring your personal goals and values, identifying barriers and possible solutions to your presenting issues and concerns, developing insight and healthy coping skills, and most important of all
— empowering you to take ownership of your healing. I work from a person-centered and trauma-informed lens and draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
