Recent Updates From Johanna Korson
Last updated | Tuesday March 25, 2025

When life becomes too overwhelming to process alone, I feel privileged to be a compassionate guide and partner for clients as they learn effective coping skills to embrace, process, and manage their emotions. I pride myself on creating a strong therapeutic rapport with clients and being an ally for those from diverse backgrounds. As individuals we grow through our relationships to others so I am dedicated to fostering an environment of non-judgment, support, respect, empowerment, and trust. I hope to help clients achieve a balance in examining the past, living in the present, and looking towards the future in treatment.

I view both biological and environmental factors as intertwined in the daily mental health struggles that people face. With a personal connection to both mental health issues and chronic physical illness, I possess unique empathy and perspective gained from those experiences and am acutely aware of the significance of the mind-body connection.
I approach my clients with a holistic and integrative perspective which is informed by the needs of each individual client and uses a variety of different orientations as a foundation. I am also an artist and believe a creative approach in counseling can be an incredibly therapeutic way to process our emotions.
