Recent Updates From Isaac Horton
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024

I take an action-oriented approach: I will work together with you to co-create a space where you heal the painful memories that hold you back, so you can move toward what's important to you. I want to see you take hold of life. I am a licensed professional counselor with experience across a broad spectrum. I graduated from the Arizona State University, Master of Counseling program in 2009. My areas of expertise include EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
One of the biggest barriers to change is trauma; bad experiences from our past which get locked in the nervous system. We shut down or over-react to situations as a way to find safety. I address this with EMDR--Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Typical results of EMDR include increased focus, calm and confidence.
I work best with clients who prefer an action-oriented approach and who are ready to make changes, but need some guidance. I work with people who feel stuck and want to break free. I also conduct therapy in Spanish.
